How the board works
DepressionResource.org operates with a small, named medical review board. Every page that makes a clinical claim is read line by line by a board member against current sources before publication, and a reviewer line and a last-reviewed date are placed on the page. The board also re-reviews pages on a recurring schedule described on our medical review process page.
Board members are practicing or recently practicing clinicians, board-certified in their specialty, with verifiable credentials. Each board member's identity, training, board certification, and registry identifiers are listed publicly on this page so readers can confirm who reviewed the content they're reading.

Adding members
As the publication grows, additional board-certified physicians and licensed mental health clinicians may be added to the medical review board. Every addition will be announced on this page with the new member's name, training, board certification, registry identifiers, and disclosures, and the relevant pages will be re-reviewed and re-signed by the new reviewer where appropriate.
We don't accept honorary board members, ghost reviewers, or reviewers whose identity isn't publicly verifiable.
Editorial independence
The board's only role is clinical accuracy and safety. The board doesn't direct commercial decisions, doesn't accept payment from drug or device manufacturers in exchange for review, and doesn't endorse specific products, brands, or services on this site. See our editorial standards and financial disclosure for the full posture.
